I'll be appearing in the following cities in the fall of 2009 and spring of 2010, as part of the Jewish Book Network and thanks to the amazing people at the Jewish Book Council. I'll post additional details for each event as the information becomes available.
Saturday, September, 12, 2009: Kehilat Rayim Ahuvim, New York, NY
I'll be speaking after Shabbat morning services, which begin at 9:15am.
If you'd like to come hear me, please do, but be respectful of the congregation, and note that my book will not be on sale because of the Sabbath.
The synagogue is located at 241 West 72nd Street, 2nd Fl., New York, NY; click here for a Google Map.
Monday, October 26, 2009: Center for Jewish History, New York, NY
The event starts at 11am and runs until about 12:30pm.
I'll be delivering an academic paper, based on my dissertation research, at the Center for Jewish History, where I was a Dr. Sophie Bookhalter Fellow last year while finishing my PhD. Prof. Amy Hungerford of Yale will respond. My paper is titled "Unclean Lips: 'Dirty Words,' Modernism, and Henry Roth's Call it Sleep." Note that this is not a promotional event for my book, but I'll bring a couple of copies of the book along, in case anyone wants to buy one. Also note that if this event were a movie, it would be rated R. If you're planning on attending, please RSVP to (212) 294-8325 or send an email to this address.
The Center is located at 15 W. 16th St., New York, NY; click here for a Google Map.
